Create YOUR Future!

As we start 2017, it’s important to set goals. The best way to manifest these goals is through a vision board. I have been doing these for years and I am happy to share my tips and tricks to make your year the most successful one yet! Vision-Board-225x300

So, let’s start with the basics and go from there.

What is a Vision Board?

A vision board is a collection of images and words that symbolize your goals, dreams and visions of success for what you want to accomplish. Further, visualization is an important part of achieving what you want in life – whether that be accomplishments at work, material items or even experiences.

Getting Started – Focus on What YOU Want

Buy a poster board and pull pictures and words from magazines or other print images you find on the internet to symbolize your goals. Remember: there’s no right or wrong way to create a vision board; just make sure the concepts speak to you and you are clear on your intention of your selections. We all need to plant the seeds to our future and now is the time to do it!

Be Specific

After you identify your goals, find images and words that represent them. Do you want to move to the next step in your career? Travel? Be healthier? Find words or symbols that reflect these ideas!

Tell a Friend

Studies have shown that we can achieve up to 75 percent of our goals when we identify them, write them down and tell a friend. The extra accountability of someone else knowing what you want to achieve can be the push you need to accomplish your goals!

Keep Your Vision Board Active

Finally, these boards are living projects – keep it active by placing it somewhere you can see it every day. For example, I have a framed board that I put in front of my desk, and took a picture of it so I could keep it on my phone/computer for when I’m away from the office.

Further, it’s very important that it remains visible and active in both your conscious and unconscious experiences. As your dreams are realized, date it on the image on your board. At the end of the year, review your vision board and circle the images that manifested, so over time you have an on-going record of your fulfilled dreams.

When Should I Start?

Now that I have explained the beauty of the inspiration board, I hope that you feel compelled to start yours today!
