AlliedPRA’s Destinations Listed in Top 5

As the old adage goes, it is all about “location, location, location.” The meetings and events industry is no different. With AlliedPRA’s ever-expanding footprint, we are proud to announce that we have offices in the top 5 meeting destinations, as listed by research firm STR. With our strategic office locations, our strong supplier-partner relationships, and our placement at the forefront of the DMC marketplace, it is no wonder that our business objectives align with STR’s findings.

STR’s market research centered around looking at 40 marketplaces in the United States. Then, they were scored based on various meeting-centric metrics. First on the list for most meeting planners surveyed was a safe meeting environment. In today’s world, planners are responding overwhelmingly to destinations that have a safety precautions set up for any disaster. Further, the factors that rounded out planners’ expectations included: vertical popularity in marketplace sector (third party planner, corporate, incentive, association, etc), cleanliness of the city as a whole, convention center space, and hotel space that was close to attractions fit for all group sizes.

With this in mind, let’s look at the top five destinations, as selected from the STR report:

Top 5 Destinations

  1. Chicago (67% of respondents chose this destination as one of their top choices)
  2. Orlando (67%)
  3. Washington, D.C. (66%)
  4. San Diego (64%)
  5. Las Vegas (62%)
