Military Aid in Action

Impactful teambuilding activities inspire attendees to take action, effect change and leave a legacy. And while creating events that move hearts, minds and businesses forward is our passion, we care equally about the impact we have on people and communities in destinations where our programs operate.

We are excited to present you with giveback teambuilding ideas and inspirations from PRA destination experts to showcase the possibilities of ways to support local communities.

In this article, we will share ideas you can incorporate into your programs that focus on the importance of showing up for the veterans in their destinations.

Teambuilding That Supports Our Troops

Every day, countless men and women dedicate themselves to serving and protecting our country, often at great personal sacrifice. Their commitment deserves our gratitude and support. Now is the time to come together as a community to show appreciation. Join with others to support programs addressing their needs, such as mental health and financial assistance. These efforts make a real difference. By participating in acts of service, your team not only honors these individuals but also strengthen their own connections. Let’s stand united in showing them the care and respect they truly deserve.

Warrior Wheels

Give the gift of mobility back to service members who have given so much by participating in an unforgettable activity that will change lives. By building wheelchairs for wounded veterans, participants are not just assembling equipment, but creating opportunities and independence for heroes who deserve it most. This heartwarming and impactful experience will touch emotions, foster deep connections, and inspire your team to work together toward a meaningful goal. Participants will collaborate closely to construct a wheelchair from provided parts, and with each completed chair donated, they’ll gain a renewed sense of gratitude and understanding for those who face daily challenges with courage. This unique team-building activity is a powerful way to build camaraderie, celebrate resilience, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

Paracord Survival Challenge

Who would have thought that a simple parachute cord could turn into a lifesaving tool during emergencies? These cords have proven essential in countless situations, from creating tourniquets to acting as rescue ropes or even aiding in constructing a makeshift shelter. They serve as vital tools for military personnel and first responders who face unpredictable challenges daily. At interactive stations, teams can work together to craft these life-saving bracelets from raw materials, resulting in a single bracelet providing over seven feet of durable cord. What makes the experience even more impactful is combining this activity with a heartfelt letter-writing campaign. Participants have the chance to include messages of encouragement and gratitude, adding a personal touch to each bracelet. These small but meaningful gestures remind those serving our country that their courage and sacrifice are deeply appreciated and never forgotten. It's a powerful way to connect and give back to the heroes who protect and serve.

Welcome Home Soldier

For some, coming home after a long deployment means returning to an empty barrack with few personal belongings to call their own. It’s a tough adjustment that can feel isolating. But your team has the power to make a meaningful difference in their lives. Imagine the relief and gratitude they would feel upon receiving a thoughtful care package filled with essentials and comforting touches. Your team can help ease their transition by including snacks to enjoy in their downtime, toiletries to restock their shelves, soft bath towels, cozy sheets to brighten their space, and maybe even a handwritten note of encouragement. These small but impactful gestures remind our service members that they are appreciated and valued. Together, we can show them that they are not alone and that their sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Help create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and a little more like home.
