Creating Vintage Holiday Vibes in Times Square—Quickly

When Raising Cane’s received an opportunity with a major film studio mid-planning and post design, the creative concept needed to pivot, and fast: A complete redesign was needed within the established timeline. Add multiple approval layers between Raising Cane’s and their film partner, which could stretch several weeks between reviews. The site-build was also going to be tight with only a few hours—starting at 4:30 am—to be experience-ready. And this was all while managing an evolving footprint in one of the world's busiest locations during the holidays. Coordinating logistics for 100 kids across various schools throughout NYC, last-minute space configuration changes, and vetting a new vendor partnership under pressure rounded out the challenge.

Delivering Festive Nostalgia, Under Pressure

The team met every challenge with agility, creativity, and precision. Central Creative knocked the redesign out of the park, producing rainbow light tinsel trees, a custom candy cane bike track, and the chance to "Meet Santa on Snow Mountain,” where kids climbed up to a snowy mountain to visit Santa, taking a slide back down.

A pop-up store stocked with Raising Cane’s swag, hot cocoa stations, and vintage 80’s photo opportunities all elevated the festive fun. By consolidating all production through a single carefully vetted vendor, the team streamlined the pre-dawn load-in process. PRA managed transporting the kids to-and-from their schools, ensuring they all enjoyed a Raising Cane’s Kids Combo meal before they left the festivities. From creative, production and logistics, the team delivered a vintage 80’s holiday experience flawlessly, ensuring joy, meaning and memories were made.
